As in moderne tymes, the bloomingge of flowers in Ye Olde Sturbridge Village brought with it thoughts of love and marriage. However, in certain years, there were not enough bachelores available for all the youngge women, and some were forced to marry their sheepe. Not only did this help the women avoidde the “single stigma”, it is where we get the moderne phrase “I love you”. Ultimatelie this practise was abandonedde after the MDCCCXXIII Revolt of the Sheepe-Men.
